NEW Dog Run Construction Project

After two years of fundraising, Minneapolis Animal Care & Control is pleased to announce that our capitol campaign is almost complete for two outdoor exercise areas for the dogs in our care. We are proud to report that no city property tax dollars were used in this project; only donations from generous animal lovers were accepted.

WCCO Partnership Highlighting Adoptable Pets

Samantha WCCO Pet of Week

Since July 2014, on the second Friday of each month, Minneapolis Animal Care & Control has highlighted an adoptable cat or dog on WCCO-TV’s (channel 4) noonnewscast. “Being able to showcase our adorable animals on television has been a wonderful tool to get more animals adopted,” said Jeanette Wiedemeier Bower, MACC’s Program Development Coordinator. “The more visibility for our pets,” she says, “the more adoptions.”
