Reminder:  Attend Downtown Park Design Week Events

October 19 and October 22

Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) project staff is holding an intensive, week-long creative session the week of October 19 through October 23rd to generate design approaches for the Downtown Service Area Master Plan.  There are two major public events on October 19 and October 22 being offered.   We look forward to gathering input from the community and also to provide feedback for the Design Team.

We hope you can join us to help shape Downtown Minneapolis parks!

Event: Public Workshop

Date: Monday, October 19
Time: 6:00-8:30pm
Location: Mill City Museum, 704 South 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401
Review community engagement, vision and goals, and explore unique park possibilities with interactive exercises.

Event: Open House Pin-Up and Steering Committee

Date: * Thursday, October 22

Time: 6:00-8:30pm

Location: Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403

Review concepts and recommendations, group Q & A, and an opportunity to provide feedback to the design team.

*Please note the original Steering Committee meeting that was scheduled for October 15th was expanded and was rescheduled to the October 22nd Open House so it can be integrated with Design Week activities. There will be no Steering Committee meeting on October 15th.

This project is part of a joint effort between the MPRB and the City of Minneapolis to improve parks and public spaces downtown. The cooperative work done on the Downtown Service Area Master Plan (MPRB) and the Downtown Public Realm Framework (CPED) is known collectively as Pathways To Places: Shaping Downtown Together.
