Welcome! This resource was created as a way to provide information about MPS initiatives, programs and meetings that may interest you. On occasion community specific events and opportunities will be highlighted here, as well. The Minneapolis Public School District Board of Education is looking for the 
2015-2016 Student Representative (Application due November 30)
Student Benefits: 
The student representative will gain a wide array of leadership, communication and political skills through this unique opportunity that can strengthen future college applications and/or resumes. A scholarship of $5,000 will be provided to the student in recognition of their dedication and commitment to MPS. For more information and application.

On Dec. 1 – 3, the three finalists will complete additional interviews and visit schools to learn more about Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) and the work of the district’s superintendent. Minneapolis community members – including parents, students and MPS teachers and staff – are invited to meet with candidates and ask questions during a community reception atWebster Elementary on Dec. 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Following these events, the Board will meet to identify and select its preferred candidate.
Public viewings of semifinalist interviews
Didn’t have a chance to catch the Superintendent semifinalist interviews? Come watch the three interviews of the candidates selected as finalists at the Davis Service Center (1250 W. Broadway Ave.). Viewings will be held in the Café on:
         *   Monday, Nov. 23 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
         *   Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
         *   Monday, Nov. 30 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

There is a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 24 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.. Click here for the Meeting Agenda.  The next meeting is Tuesday, December 8 and the topics will be – Tax Levy, bond sale, school calendar, Superintendent announcement.
