About this public hearing
The Metropolitan Council (Council), Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) will hold a joint public hearing on January 19 regarding the physical design component of the preliminary design plans for the METRO Blue Line Extension (Bottineau Light Rail Transit) project. This is part of the municipal consent process set forth in Minnesota Statues section 473.3994. An open house will be held prior to the public hearing, beginning 5 p.m. All interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearing and offer comments.
Upcoming municipal public hearings
The Metropolitan Council has submitted municipal consent plans for the METRO Blue Line Extensionproject to each city along the 13-mile transit line. The plans include a process for collecting public input and for local review and approval of the preliminary design plans. All interested persons are encouraged to provide input, and there are multiple ways to do so. You can attend the public hearings that will be scheduled for each city and comment on the physical design of the LRT alignment within that city. You can also send comments by email, through the Metropolitan Council website, or US mail. For more information, including options for submitting comments by mail, TTY, email and fax, visit www.BlueLineExt.org.
